What do the following persons and companies have in common: the ILIRIJA Company from Slovenia; Albert Einstein, the author of quantum theory; Jacques Brandenberger, the Swiss chemist who invented cellophane; The International Paper Company that introduced paper cups, and one of the most successful cars every created – The Model T Ford? They were all there in 1908, the only difference being that some were already reaping the fruits of success whereas others were still only at the beginning of their journeys.


There are not many companies like ILIRIJA, and this does not apply only to Slovenia, that have such a long and rich tradition. Today, as ILIRIJA approaches its one-hundredth year of existence, it is well-placed in the company of the largest companies. In fact, in certain production segments, it has become the leading company. In the spirit of our vision and to celebrate our past and take a look into the future, we treated visitors of the Cvetličarna Mediapark florist’s shop to a presentation of trends of the future – “FUTURE PROOF”. The entire ILIRIJA was there, including our business partners, friends and various celebrities. Together, we saluted our rich history and flirted with the future. The well-timed and content-rich program started with a film of ILIRIJA’s first 100 years. Futurism as the main message was the common thread of the event. The performance of the opera singer Irene Yebuah accompanied by Rudolf Gas’ excellent music was nothing short of amazing. During her performance, models from the Bronz agency appeared on stage, creating a true feast for the eyes. The fashion show by Zoran Garevski, the fashion designer, and Peter Klinc, the hair stylist, electrified the crowd who were in awe of the beautiful girls on stage. Dancers were also a great attraction. They performed the Subrina advertisement live. The program was rounded up by Jadranka Juras who never fails to amaze with her ability to sing live. And because nothing was left to chance, DJ music was also carefully selected... DJ Exo Beltram performed live, together with a percussionist and a saxophonist, proving yet again that he is a true master of electronic music.

ILIRIJA, therefore, is confidently stepping into a new century of its existence. Next year, in 2008, ILIRIJA will celebrate its one-hundredth birthday. Numerous communication activities are planned to take place.

All that remains is… the next one hundred years.
